How do I set up Alerting?

The Alerting feature in Kenna allows you to select items for proactive change notification from Kenna.

Selecting email notification will send an email to the address associated with the user account. Selecting in-app notification will add a green circle to the Alerts bell icon when new items arrive.

Alerts will only apply to the Risk Meters / Assets that a user has access to based on their role assignment in the platform. The user simply turns on or off the alerts they prefer and the delivery type. 

To configure alerts select Alerting from the gear drop down menu.

Toggle the notification on or off by clicking on the button for each alert notification type.

Risk Meter alerts are processed nightly with Reporting data. All threat based alerts are processed every 4 hours.  

 

For service degradation notifications we recommend enrolling in our opt-in service to receive email notifications here http://status.kennasecurity.com/

During and immediately after a degradation an in-app message will also appear at the top of the screen.

Within the alert you will notice the same link above http://status.kennasecurity.com/ . Once enrolled you will receive an email each time the service is degraded or unavailable.
