Cisco Vulnerability Management makes it easier for you to use risk meters, also known as groups, on the VM Explore page.
Previously, groups were listed on the right side of the window in the sidebar. If you had a lot of groups, you were forced to do a lot of scrolling to find the one you wanted.
Now, groups are at the top of the Explore page.
Click All Groups. The first 500 groups are displayed in the list.
When you start typing in the Search field, the typeahead search filters the list as you type. In the list, click the group you want to see. No more scrolling through a long list of groups!
Note: If you have more than 500 groups, use the search to find the group you want.
If you have hierarchical risk meters defined, you can also see their hierarchy. A group that has a hierarchy of groups has an arrow beside its name. Click the arrow and the descendants of the group are displayed. A breadcrumb displays above the current group, which is also another way to navigate through your groups. As you drill down into the hierarchy, the breadcrumb shows the path you are taking. You can click on any of the items in the breadcrumb to display to that group. In the following image, the hierarchy of groups is All Groups > Network Team > Network Team Child 1 > Network Team Grandchild 1.
For more information about hierarchical risk meters, see Getting Started with Hierarchical Risk Meters.
Modifying Groups
Admins can still modify, delete, and create groups with the new navigation. When you hover your cursor over the group name, the icons to edit, delete, and add a group are displayed, as shown in the following image.
Click the pencil icon to edit the group name, permissions, or filters.
Click the trash can icon to delete the group.
Click the plus icon to create a new group. The new group is created as child group of the currently displayed group.
The new group navigation is available now. If you don't see it in your user interface, and would like to use it, contact Customer Support.
