Predicted Exploits

On the Vulnerability Management Explore page, to see the vulnerabilities that are predicted to be exploitable, click the Predicted Exploitable button. The Predictive Exploit engine identifies vulnerabilities that are expected to have an Active Internet Breach in the future. This threat vector enhances Cisco Vulnerability Management's ability to help teams prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation by increasing the score of vulnerabilities that are predicted to become problems in the future and allowing you to see vulnerabilities that fall into this category.

The predictive model used in Cisco Vulnerability Management looks at the probability of a vulnerability having an Active Internet Breach in the future. The model factors this likelihood into the overall Cisco Security Risk Score. To see the likelihood rating, look on the vulnerability details page for any vulnerability marked as "Predicted Exploit."

Predicted scoring increases will always be less than increases for existing Malware and Easily Exploitable vulnerabilities. Continue using Top Fixes to reduce risk the fastest and fix the highest scoring vulnerabilities first, knowing that this added intelligence will move up items that might become a bigger problem in the future.
